Big Brother 10, Episode 14 Recap - -Power of Veto Competition

CAN’T EVEN TAKE A JOKE

The feast they won last week is set up in the living room. Everyone kind of calls a truce to break bread. Keesha suggests they all go around the table and say something nice about someone else in the house. Memphis rambles out something forgettable and sits back down. Renny gives Jerry accolades for giving 110% at age 75. Jerry cries. He says it is hard to be in the house with them and still be alone. Dan stands and tells Jerry that he only had one grandfather growing up, and he is honored by the way Dan embraced him and gave him advice. Jerry responds by saying he treated Dan like a grandson, but he doesn’t like being betrayed. Ouch. And down goes Jerry’s likeability factor a few notches for me. As if I’m in the house and anyone cares. When Keesha says that she and April don’t see eye to eye, April jokes that maybe they see eye to eye too much and everyone laughs. Then Libra, clearly joking and not at all trying to be coy, says that Keesha is just buttering up April so she can get part of her BB wardrobe. Later, April shows up in the HOH room as Keesha and Michelle are talking. Michelle totally blows the whole wardrobe comment out of proportion and then calls Libra upstairs to confront her. Libra says she was joking, but Keesha takes it personally and makes a big deal out of it. Then Libra asks Keesha if she (Libra) was the one who orchestrated Jesse’s eviction, and Keesha has to cop to being the culprit in front of both Michelle and April. Then Keesha asks April if she’s told Michelle about her backstabbing. April says nothing, and Keesha runs from the room with Michelle in tow. For some reason, even with all of Michelle’s prompting, Keesha still won’t give specifics on the wrongs that April has been perpetrating. She does tell Michelle that at least Libra will tell when she does something, unlike April who blames everyone for everything. The guys are in the kitchen while all the yelling is going on, and Dan comments that liquid courage (booze) gets ‘em going every time. Where’s Renny with her glass when you need her? Libra asks Ollie if she can speak privately with him. They go into the laundry room, and she tells him, amid tears, that her feelings were really hurt, especially as a mother whose family is watching, when he called her a scumbag and a ‘ho during her argument with April last week. Ollie apologizes but says he was just upset that she was arguing with April. Uh, I’m thinking Ollie’s dad isn’t too happy with his behavior now.

VETO MEETING

Libra says they think she’s the puppet mistress of the house, but actually Keesha was calling the shots. Dan feels Jerry will back door him. Not sure what that means, or if I want to know… Keesha knows she is there because she voted for Jesse. Jerry’s speech is horrible. He says that four days ago Michelle had no choice but to put Keesha and Libra up for eviction but now he holds the power. He says they would not have been his choice. He tells Dan that he’s a bible-toting Judas. The other players are clearly uncomfortable with his statement. After all of that unnecessary drama, Jerry decides not to use the POV, and Keesha or Libra will be leaving on Thursday.
