The Biggest Loser Couples Recap - - Episode 13

TAKING THE CAKE…

Dan sets his cake platter down on the counter. The Blue Boys are fixing their dinner when Kelly walks in. Roger asks, as an afterthought, if she would like to join them. He says he feels bad they didn’t invite her. He doesn’t mention Ali. Kelly declines, but says she will take them up on the offer in the future. Then poor Kelly saunters back to her room with her head down, looking pitiful. I bet if she’d do her hair like they did in the makeover she’d feel better. Ali and Kelly work out with Jillian. They are determined to remain in the competition. Dan, Mark, and Jay go for a walk after dinner, but Roger catches up with them and tells Dan that someone took his cake. Dan runs back to see that it’s missing and finds a ransom note, supposedly signed by Kelly, on his bed. He rushes to her room, lets himself in, and asks her about his cake. She tells him she’s taking a shower and doesn’t have his cake. Ali laughs about it. Dan finally finds his cake in the laundry room, and Roger cops to taking it, saying he was teaching Dan a lesson. Afterward, Dan will not let the cake out of his sight.

THE CHALLENGE

The players meet Alison at an arena. There are tables with each player’s name. Concession stands with various stadium foods are set up all around the arena. Each player must go to a stand, grab a fatty food, one at a time, and place it on someone else’s table. The player with the least amount of calories on their table wins $10K. And oh yeah, Dan gets to put the 600 calorie cake on someone’s table. Of course he chooses Kelly. The guys decide to only put food on the girl’s tables. In the end, Kelly’s table could cover Madea’s family reunion. Jay wins the $10K. Alison tells Jay that he can keep the money, or at the next weigh-in have a one-pound advantage. He says he’ll think it over. Roger, Jay and Dan helped themselves to bits and pieces of pizza, fries, and hotdogs, and I can only hope that this WEIGHS heavily on them during the weigh-in. When Jillian hears about the challenge, she too hopes they retain the calories, and works the girls even harder. Bob shows Roger and Jay what they used to eat in calories everyday vs. what they are eating now. Roger gets his lines right on the first take (I assume…) telling us, in a surprised tone, that his Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal 160 calorie bowl fills him up more than two English muffins and a hash brown ever did. Okay. Over at the gym, Jillian kills at the last chance workout and Bob lines his little soldiers up for a uniformed workout.

THE WEIGH-IN

This week, Bob and Jillian aren’t present for the weigh-in. Not sure why, but the confrontation between Jillian and Alison comes to mind…Jay:6 with his pass he finally took advantage of, Roger:6, Dan:1, Mark:4, Ali:6 and Kelly:7. Let’s say it all together: GIRL POWER! Dan is in shock because he only lost one pound. I hope he knows the fellas aren’t getting rid of Mark a second time. Pride my….hiney. Ali has lost more than any other woman in Biggest Loser history with her 85 lbs. so far. Kelly is psyched to have lost seven, thus pushing two fellas below the yellow line. And Jillian isn’t there to witness it. No fair. Plus, I wanted to see the look on Bob’s face.

ELIMINATION

It’s Dan’s first time below the yellow line, and he cries. Awww, the guys seem to do that a lot. The girls are so proud of themselves that they cannot focus on Ocean’s 4. Dan and Mark embrace. And cry. Dan visits the ladies and tells them he wants to stay. He cries some more. Jay says he has no intention of sending his own brother home again. Mark says he’s not obligated to man up again, so he knows he’s safe. At the table, Dan is still crying. Kelly and Ali vote for him. Roger, giving some speech about brotherhood, says that Dan and his mother came into the competition and befriended him (Roger) and Trent before she left. Uh, Roger, you blindsided her and KICKED her off. Dan is eliminated, and the Blues Brothers stand for one last PRIDE! cheer as he walks off into the sunset. Now Dan has slimmed down and moved to L.A. to pursue a career as a musician. I wish him pride.
