NOW WORK IT OUT
Back at the gym, the Blue team cannot believe they lost. Bob is not thrilled at all and it shows in his face. He says they were confident at the last weigh-in, but they need to stop being so cocky and do whatever they have to do to get the weight off. Trent breaks down and says that he’s there to get healthy and not get wrapped up in strategies (He sooooo needs to be gone…) Bob says that Trent is there for the right reasons and he’s proud of him. Uh, yeah. And he needs to be gone.Jillian finds out her team won the challenge and she’s thrilled. She says to be fair, they will pull names out of a hat, and the last name will get immunity. Paul is not thrilled that Maggie got it, but it was fair so he has to suck it up. During their workout, Jillian notices that Maggie is upset. This is surprising since she was happy a minute ago and then won immunity. Maggie cries that she wants people to see past her weight, because who wants a fat friend? I can tell Maggie that I’m a very good fat friend, but I don’t think she would care. Anyhoooo, Jill says that quality people don’t care about weight. Hey, didn’t we visit these same issues with Brittany a couple of weeks ago? Far as I’m concerned, a split screen would have sufficed to get all of the abandonment issues out at once.
Jillian interviews that although she’s a helluva trainer, she can’t do it all, so she has to call in reinforcements. That comes in the form of Jillian’s Mommy, the psychotherapist, who obviously takes advantage of her daughter’s personal training. And botox. We can only assume she’s a real doctor and not just someone who’s helped Jillian with her own issues, because we are never given her name. Mommy is there to provide one-on-one sessions for anyone who wants to be included. Bob decides to give his team a choice, and they decide to go hiking instead. Lord knows Mark’s issues with deceit may have stretched the show another hour, so I’m glad. Dan takes his crew on up the mountain, and he’s proud of them as they look back at the ranch. I notice they have a very long walk back…The use of the zoom lens was my first clue.
THE DOCTOR IS IN
Mommy helps Brittany work through her issues with her parent’s divorce, again. She should really be over it now. Kelly works through guilt issues over her mom’s stroke and a fear of failure. Paul works through being abused by his father, who Mommy calls weak. I call it a punk. No one helps me through my divorce, but hey, that’s what happens when you play along at home and eat Snackwells.FINALLY, THE TALK
Paul and Kelly talk in their room later. Kelly tells Paul she is proud of him and feels he’s doing much better. He does feel better after talking to Mommy, like a weight has been lifted (no pun intended). Kelly tells him not to burn any bridges though, because if they don’t win, it’s just them on the chopping block. She reminds him that Maggie, Bernie and Brittany are tighter than thieves, and in reality, they are still the Yellow team against the Black team. Everyone sleeps. Paul sneaks downstairs, and works out in the gym into the wee hours of the morning. It was either that, or a cold shower, since Kelly, who finally got some closure, has those blankets all the way up to her eyeballs.LAST CHANCE WORKOUT
Jillian works the Black team hard, as is expected. Maggie calls the Blue team a bunch of dumb jocks, which they do resemble, as Roger calls out football positions for his boys.THE WEIGH-IN
The Black team pulled Maggie out of the hat for immunity. For the Blue team, they chose Jay. Not sure why the didn’t choose Dan, who they feel sorry for, unless they think he’d win the weigh-in, but okay, their choice is Jay and we have to deal with it. The weight that came off is as follows: Bernie:7, Kelly:8, Paul:10, Maggie:2 and Brittany:1. For the Blue team, it’s: Dan:7, Trent:8, Roger:9, and Mark:6. Allison says that the remaining Blue team member, Jay, must have lost more than four pounds to avoid sending a Blue team member home. Jay confidently steps on the scale, and he’s lost four pounds. The Black team wins the weigh-in by one pound. Bob is stunned. Jillian is ecstatic. Paul is the Biggest Loser of the Week for the Black team. Jay has immunity and cannot be voted off of the Blue team. Roger is the Biggest Loser of the Week on the Blue team and cannot be voted off. So who leaves?ELIMINATION
Dan is feeling uneasy. He knows he cannot trust his teammates, and he knows that either Trent, Mark or he will be leaving. Trent offers himself up as the sacrificial lamb so he can go home and get the medical attention he needs. He feels once that is done, he can lose the weight on his own with what he’s learned. They make a pact the send Trent home, with Dan hoping they don’t blindside him again. At the table, one-by-one the players show Alison Trent’s name. Dan doesn’t even have to show his choice because Trent is indeed voted off among tears. After everyone says goodbye to Trent, Alison asks both teams to assemble for some news. She says in a Biggest Losers First, the teams will be sent back to the scene of the crime, their biggest challenge ever - - the teams are being sent home. Tune in next week for the ultimate temptations.
