Trash Talkin'
Piers and Trace engaged in some early trash talking with Piers telling Trace that 'Nashville is gonna be crying at the end of this.' Trace retorted that he would 'hang your ass out in the streets.' Game on, boys.
Return Engagements
The next morning, Trump met with Piers and Trace and announced that their final task would require them to work together to plan a large and extravagant charity event. To help them with this task, Trump was bringing back 4 of the fired celebrities - Lennox Lewis, Carol Alt, Stephen Baldwin and Marilu Henner. Trace ended up picking Lennox and Marilu to work with him, while Piers chose Stephen and Carol.
Dividing Up the Work
Piers and Trace met to divide up the work involved in planning the charity event. They decided (with very little argument) that Piers would be responsible for the catering and auction, while Trace would take care of the live entertainment and venue decorations. When it came to splitting up the auction items (sample item a shopping trip with Ivanka), they also managed to divvy things up with few arguments.
All Bark, No Bite?
Trace compared Piers to a Chihuahua, and noted that he could be annoying, and bark a lot but that he posed very little threat.
Celebrities or Money?
Piers seemed focused on raising a lot of money, while Trace stated that he had already conceded to Piers in terms of fundraising, so his focus would be on getting as many celebrities to the event as possible. To that end, he tasked both Lennox and Marilu with calling in their celebrity friends. Trace also chartered two planes to fly his country-western contacts in from Nashville. Piers didnt give up on the celebrities angle entirely, but perhaps he didn't give it that much import because he tasked Stephen Baldwin with bringing in the names and Stephen looked like he was having a very hard time of it. Even Stephen noted that he may not be able to get the 'big names' and if Piers got fired as a result of this, 'sorry.' Now Stephen, to quote you, is that what Jesus would do?
Done!
Lennox and Marilu were also tasked with getting the décor for the venue, and Lennox took charge when Marilu seemed to be getting distracted by making the various decisions, such as which table cloth to use and what color theme would work best. Lennox told her that they had a strict deadline so she should just make the decision and then it was 'done!' with no looking back. Lennox really enforced this, calling out 'Done!' whenever it looked like Marilu was vacillating on a decision.
Royal Tea
Surprisingly, despite his past as a tabloid newspaper editor, and the tabloids' penchant for going after the royal family in Britain, it was revealed that Piers is good friends with Sarah Ferguson, a.k.a Fergie, the Duchess of York, who was once married to Prince Andrew (Charles's brother). He met with her to get her to contribute to the auction and managed to convince her to put herself up as an auction item, more specifically, an afternoon of royal tea with Fergie.
Artistic Differences
Trace, in charge of the entertainment, found himself 'babysitting' the Backstreet Boys (now down to just 4 members). When their rider (list of things they required in their dressing rooms) proved a little too extensive, Trace decided to meet with them and their road manager to see if he could cut it down a bit. He got a little more than he bargained for when they asked for wheatgrass juice (which he had never heard of and thought a little crazy), room temperature water and a hot tea set. Trace seemed exasperated by them, and they didn't seem too thrilled with him either. Is this what they call 'artistic differences'?
Nearly the End
The show ended with Piers and Trace and their respective teams scrambling to get the event up and running. Next week, the first ever Celebrity Apprentice will be crowned in a 2 hour finale. Live! So set those VCRs, TiVos and DVRs! See you then!
