Celebrity Apprentice Recap | Episode Six | Nely Galan FiredFrom Katie Lee Feb 8 2008 Where's the Love?Piers Morgan (Judge on Americas Got Talent) and Omarosa once again engaged in an argument about who's the more irrelevant 'celebrity.' Piers deemed Omarosa a 'waste of space' and derisively asked her if her job at the White House was that of a janitor, which earned him a headful of champagne. Are these two just fighting as a way to show their 'affection' for each other? Considering the rumors about them allegedly conspiring to start a showmance on the show?
He Hates Piers TooStephen Baldwin (actor/preacher) decided that he just can't work with Piers anymore. Piers didn't seem that concerned, reiterating that Stephen is a hypocrite for his behavior with respect to the 'Sopranos Lite' episode last week. Stephen went to Trump and didn't exactly quit but absolutely refused to work with Piers any longer. Trump doesn't really have any other option but to move him over to Empresario. Upon learning of this, Piers noted that Stephen's action only demonstrated two things - 'one, that he's a quitter and two, what a disloyal rat he is.'
We Don't Want Him Either!Empresario isn't too thrilled about the news that Trump has sent Stephen to them. Even when Stephen told them that he wasn't going to try and take over and that he'd be fine with 'making coffee' if that's what they wanted him to do. Hydra found that 'pathetic' and Lennox Lewis (ex-boxer) said Stephen's action and statement made him lose respect for him. Stephen, on a roll to turn everyone against him, told Empresario that he would have to be absent for part of the task as he had a prior engagement. Omarosa was annoyed at this news, telling Stephen that after being forced on them, 'on the first day of your new job, you're not even gonna be here?'
A Familiar Face ReturnsIvanka is MIA this week and sitting in for her is George Ross, veteran of the early seasons of The Apprentice.
Odd PairingThis week's corporate plug involved mattress manufacturer, Serta and fashion designer, Vera Wang.
Living WindowThe teams were tasked with creating a living window display that would showcase the mattress Vera Wang designed for Serta. Vera stated that both she and Serta executives would determine the winner based on 'creativity, brand imaging and entertainment.'
The PMsOmarosa once again headed up Empresario, while Lennox Lewis took over for Hydra.
ThemesDeciding to use what Vera Wang is most famous for - her bridal wear line - Empresario decided to go with Omarosa's theme of 'the perfect marriage' (between Vera Wang and Serta). Hydra initially struggled to come up with a theme because as Piers explained, none of the men were really familiar with Vera Wang, nor were they really 'in touch with our sensitive, feminine side.' Eventually, Trace Adkins (country singer) came up with the slogan, 'the world's greatest romance deserves the world's best mattress.'
Power CorruptsLennox Lewis had an interesting leadership style to say in the least. He wanted people to raise their hand and wait to be acknowledged before speaking. He also tended to put a lot of things to vote as opposed to making an executive decision. Piers noted that Lennox was 'cheesy, cheeky, [and] fun' but the minute he became PM, 'he turned into a monster.'
Foreshadowing?Omarosa had trouble with both Marilu Henner (actress) and Nely Galan (ex-Telemundo executive) on the task. Omarosa found Marilu's energy just 'too much' and that her approach to the construction and set-up of the window was 'scattered' which prevented them from progressing. Meanwhile, she wasn't getting the creative feedback she apparently needed from Nely, and noted that she thought Nely would have more to offer creatively, considering she is a 'big time Hollywood producer.' Marilu didn't seem phased by Omarosa, noting that she was someone you had to 'constantly watch out for' whereas Nely noted that Omarosa was the person she trusted most on Empresario. Were guessing those words are gonna come back and bite her later.
Sums it UpLennox wasnt winning any points as PM and when he got into it with the other members of Hydra, particularly Piers, the argument climaxed with Lennox breaking wind. Piers noted that Lennox's gas 'summed up [that] your Project Management stinks!' |
