Celebrity Apprentice Recap | Episode Six | Nely Galan Fired

From Katie Lee

Adding Some Spice?

Stephen, returning from his prior commitment (preaching at a church), jumped right in with Empresario, although not in a very impressive way. He was throwing out ideas left and right, telling Nely that 'I've taken everything you've done and peppered it with a little Stevie B.' Nely's reaction? 'Dude, get out of here!' What ever happened to just staying quiet and making coffee Stevie B?

Premieres

Empresario and Hydra premiered their living window displays for Serta and Vera Wang. Empresario went with a wedding scene, with Carol Alt (model) and Stephen playing bride and groom. Carol was in a Vera Wang gown of course and it was simply the two of them coming into a honeymoon suite and collapsing on the Vera Wang designed mattress. Hydra decided to go with Cleopatra and Mark Anthony (one of the greatest romances according to Lennox) lounging on the mattress and having champagne and grapes fed to them.

Taking Back the Title

Hydra was deemed the winner, securing $20,000 for Lennox Lewis's charity - the Muhammad Ali Center.

Salt in the Wound

Piers couldn't resist taking one last dig at Omarosa as he victoriously exited the Boardroom, wishing her 'bad luck' as she faced Trump. If these two had managed to get that alleged showmance off the ground, we do wonder how ‘interesting’ that would have been given how much bickering and sniping they do. Very ‘Honeymooners-ish’ but with less comedy and more vitriol.

Why You Lost

When Omarosa expressed shock at Empresario's loss, Trump (and Don, Jr. and George) all chimed in that their concept was boring and typical. Presenting a wedding scene with Vera Wang bridal wear was neither creative nor entertaining because Vera Wang and weddings was something that's been done numerous times before.

The Tough Decisions

Oddly, Omarosa was reluctant to bring anyone back with her, asking Trump if they could all just stay there, 'united' as a team. George nixed this idea, noting that sometimes, you had to make the tough decisions. Omarosa wanted to bring Stephen back because he was missing for part of the task but both Trump and Don, Jr. told her not to do it. Don, Jr. explained that Stephen shouldn't be held responsible for fulfilling a religious commitment. Having no other options, Omarosa then decided on Marilu (who wasn't surprised at all) and Nely (who was). So much for that trust thing huh, Nely?

Scratching an Itch

Since the Gene Simmons debacle back in Week 3, Trump has been itching to fire Nely and George pointing out that as a TV producer, she should have been aware that their concept was weak pretty much sealed her fate. Trump allowed Omarosa and Marilu to say a few things before he zeroed in on Nely, pointing out that she should have been fired at least twice before. Nely pointed out that those things shouldn't have any bearing now, but Trump insisted that he always considered the past in making his decisions and with that, fired her.
