Celebrity Apprentice Recap | Episode Seven

From Katie Lee

Two Teams, One Strategy

Both teams go with the 'call in the big bucks VIPs' strategy or as Piers put it, 'go away and raise money.'

Short-Lived Truce

Omarosa and Piers declared a truce early on, but we could tell the truce would not last long when Piers started in on Omarosa, declaring that she was having trouble raising money because 'she's not really a celebrity, [so] she doesn't have that kind of pulling power (calling in favors for big donations).' Sure enough, the next morning, in the van en route to Central Park, Piers and Omarosa get into the first of many arguments.

Spelling Counts!

Setting off the argument in the van was Omarosa misspelling Piers's name. He made a comment about her professionalism, and it resulted in Omarosa tossing the paper (with his misspelled name on it) into his face. And it only got uglier from there.

Awk-Ward!

Poor Lennox and Carol had to sit and listen as Piers and Omarosa ripped into each other. Piers called Omarosa variations of 'tramp' and 'trash' while Omarosa really hit below the belt, talking about Piers's children and how he's a bad father. Carol managed to pipe in at one point that there was 'a lot of noise' in the van, and Lennox finally had the van drop him and Piers off, just to separate Piers and Omarosa.

You Can't Fire Me!

Meeting up at the designated site for their horse and carriage mini-business, Piers promptly 'fires' Omarosa, who refused to be fired, declaring that Trump and not Piers was her boss. (Technically that's not true as Trump never really hired Omarosa.) Piers tried to shut Omarosa out of any business discussion but she loudly and stubbornly continued to stick with the team. Lennox and Carol ended up having to pull double duty - perform the task and keep Omarosa and Piers separated. We're guessing the later task was harder.

Meanwhile. . .

Empresario was rolling along, just doing their thing and providing a very sharp contrast to Hydra, in how a team should work together versus Hydra's display of how a team disintegrates in a very loud, very public, and very ugly fashion.

Celebrity Cameos

John Rich, of 'Big and Rich,' came down to support his fellow country singer, Trace Adkins (to the tune of $5000) while Tito's girlfriend, adult film star, Jenna Jameson, paid $1000 to take a carriage ride with her man.

All My Brothers and Me

Stephen called in yet another Baldwin brother to help him out on this task. This time it was William 'Billy' Baldwin, who stars on 'Dirty, Sexy, Money.' Stephen noted that his brothers are busy but they'll always support him in whatever he does. Now that Daniel Baldwin has quit 'Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew,' maybe he'll make a guest appearance and complete the Baldwin brothers set.

Tell it to Him Yourself

Ivanka got an earful - and then some - when she came to check in on Hydra. Piers told her that Omarosa had brought in his children and family, and that he wished death on her, after which, he would like to 'pour sulfuric acid on her rotting torso.' Ivanka expressed 'disappointment' in how Hydra was falling apart, and when Piers asked her to relay to Trump how he felt about Omarosa, Ivanka told Piers that she had a 'feeling you'll be telling him yourself.'

It's All Good

Trace Adkins talked about how easy the task was for him as Project Manager and how well Empresario was working together. He explained that all he had to do was get out of the way and let the team work. Marilu chimed in on the Empresario group love by saying how much she enjoyed working with the men and that it was a 'totally different kind of energy.'

Opening with an Ultimatum

Before Trump could announce a winner in the Boardroom, Piers declared that because of Omarosa bringing his family into things, he refused to work with her any longer. If their team won, he wanted them separated or Trump would have to fire him. Piers looked genuinely upset and extremely pissed off and we can't say we blame him. Omarosa talking about his family in such a manner (saying things like 'your kids are so disappointed in you' and 'some other man's raising your kids instead of you') was really crossing a line.

Tougher than Mike Tyson

When Trump asked Lennox how he felt about working with Omarosa and Piers fighting like that, Lennox replied, 'Well, I fought Mike Tyson [and this was] tougher.' Watching Piers and Omarosa got at it in the Boardroom, Trump agreed with Lennox that it was indeed a tough situation to be in.

Hollow Victory

Surprisingly, Hydra pulled out the win, earning approximately $35, 100 to Empresario's $29, 800. Piers, as PM, would get the money donated to his charity, 'Intrepid Fallen Heroes' which helps families who have lost loved ones in combat. Everyone is shocked by this outcome, and Lennox remarked that the victory felt hollow. Even Piers wouldn't celebrate, only agreeing to a toast when Lennox mentioned how much money his charity would receive. The only person who seemed happy and carefree was Omarosa.

Damn it, this is Hard!

Trump had the unenviable task of having to go through a Boardroom with Empresario, who by all indications performed the task well and really gelled as a team. George had very little criticism against them. And yet. . .they did lose. Trump tried to get Empresario to give someone up but everyone refused to name anyone to be fired. Marilu offered up that she 'would have fired Piers or Omarosa.' Trump then asked, in all seriousness, if anyone wanted to resign, and no one did either. He declared that this was 'one of the hardest firings' he has ever had to do.

Charitable or Cowardly?

Trump then stated that because this was all for charity, he was going to do the charitable thing and not fire anyone. It could be argued that he was unwilling to make the 'tough decision' at this point, but in any event, they all 'lived to see another day' in Trump's words. But per Piers's ultimatum, he switched Marilu with Omarosa so there would be newer new teams next week!
