What’s an EZ Pay?
One of the reasons Empresario won was because they gave the audience the option of using QVC’s ‘Easy Pay’ system, which is essentially an installment plan which allows you to break down a big payment into smaller, multiple payments. When Trump asked Hydra why they didn’t utilize this option as well, everyone on Team Hydra stated that they didn’t know it existed.
Who’s Safe?
Marilu decided to take Lennox and Piers into the final Boardroom with her, which meant Carol Alt was safe.
Ooops?
Marilu had stressed in the initial Boardroom that it was the lack of an EZ Pay system that did her team in. While waiting to be called back into the Boardroom after she had released Carol, Piers and Lennox remarked to her that they found it hard to believe that Carol, who had stated that she worked with QVC for 5 years, did not know about the EZ Pay system. Marilu could only look on in consternation.
Where the Buck Stops
In the final Boardroom, both Lennox and Piers went after Carol and her ignorance of the EZ Pay system. Trump jumped aboard this line of reasoning, asking Marilu why she hadn’t brought Carol back with her. Marilu tried to zero in on Lennox and his lackluster performance, but Trump declared that ‘he’s not the reason you lost.’ In the end, Marilu’s manic energy, which causes her to lose focus at times, didn’t help her as she wasn’t able to piece together a solid, cohesive argument for Trump to keep her and thus, she was fired.
We’re Family
In her exit interview during the car ride of shame, Marilu stated that she thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and thought that, ‘Mr. Trump was very sweet’ and that she ‘feels like a part of the Trump family now.’ We’re not too sure about that. Has Trump fired anyone from his family before?
