Top 10 Reality TV Cribs

By Latoya West, About.com

Reality TV contestants live in style -- until they are sent packing, that is. From the Top Model apartment, to the Real World house, learn about the fabulous (and temporary) living quarters of reality TV stars.

1. America's Next Top Model 4 Loft

The Top Model contestants are raving about the awesome loft they lived in during the competition. "The loft was unbelievable. I didn’t walk from room to room to room. I had to run, it was so big. I probably will never live in a house like that ever again," Rebecca told me in an interview. Each room in the loft has a theme. They include the Sunset Strip Living Room, the Modelwood Bedroom, and the Griffith Park Backyard.

2. The Contender Loft and Gym

On the first episode of The Contender, the boxers were blown away by their gorgeous loft and amazing gym. Furniture and accessories for the loft were provided by La-Z-Boy. Gym equipment was provided by Technogym.

3. The Apprentice Suite

Even though so much backstabbing goes on in the Apprentice apartment, the stylish suite is the place to be. The vendors whose wares make the loft so fabulous include Metrochairs, Accents of France, and Mitchell Gold Furniture. The suite is located in Manhattan's Trump Tower.

4. Starting Over House

The women on the daytime reality drama Starting Over live in luxury as they try to improve their lives. In a press release, the house is described as a new, Spanish-style, hilltop house that boasts expansive views of Los Angeles, has lush gardens and a pool, and has been furnished specifically for the comfort of the cast, and to accommodate the scores of unobtrusive cameras that capture the daily drama that makes this show so addictive to its fans.

5. Big Brother 5 House

The sixth season of Big Brother begins this summer. That means a new cast will be moving into their new home for three months. If it's set up anything like the Big Brother 5 house, the housemates will be just fine...but it's still a bore to be away from the rest of the world for so long.

6. Missy Elliot's Road to Stardom Tour Bus

Some apartments aren't as nice as the tour bus Missy Elliot traveled on during the taping of her reality show "The Road to Stardom." The hip-hop diva had golden drapes, a bar, and fresh flowers throughout the bus. Now that's riding in style!

7. Real World Philadelphia House.

Only MTV could turn a building that was once a bank and then a church into the the coolest crib on Reality TV. The Real World Philadelphia house featured an atrium with an olive tree as its center piece. And the modern decor was made up of only the hippest furnishings and accessories. House Trivia: The old bank vault was turned into the confessional and the bedrooms had color themes.

8. College Hill Student House

According to BET, the students on BET's College Hill live in a luxurious, Western-themed ranch house in the middle of nowhere. Though the house doesn't look that great in this video -- which was apparently filmed by one of the roommates -- it is way better than the campus housing this About.com Guide lived in.

9. The Osbourne Home

Depending on your taste, The Osbourne mansion, with it's 'antiquey' furnishings and oh-so-many decorative accessories, may look just right -- or it may be way too much to digest! Take a look at Sharon's sitting room, the billiards room, and more rooms in the Osbourne crib.

10. The Making the Band Loft

While a group of superstar wannabes compete to be in P. Diddy's new girl group, they share a loft in New York's trendy Soho neighborhood. According to MTV, the house is decked out with accessories from the network's own Cribs Home Furnishing line. If you like what you see, the Cribs line is on sale at JC Penney.
