*MTV will air a marathon of the week's episodes each Sunday, beginning June 7. The marathons will include never-before-seen footage and cast commentary.
NBC's Pitch:
"Ten celebrities are dropped into the heart of the jungle to face fun and comedic challenges designed to test their survival skills. America is the puppet master, controlling their favorites by putting them into challenges and tasks to win food, supplies and luxury items. In each episode, friendships will be tested, hilarity will ensue and viewers will decide which celebrities stay or leave. While all participants will be playing for their favorite charities, the last remaining star will be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle, winning the largest share of the prize for donation."

I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here is hosted by former MTV veejay Damien Fahey and UK TV host (and former winner of the UK's version of I'm a Celebrity), Myleen Klass.

The celebrities participating in the summer, 2009 season are:
- The Hills stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag
- Former American Idol contestant Sanjaya Malakar
- Former supermodel and ex-Top Model judge Janice Dickinson.
- Actor Lou Diamond Phillips
- Comedy team Frangelica
- Former Basketball star John Salley
- Wife of impeached Illinois governer Rod Blagojevich, Patti Blagojevich
- Former pro wrestler Torrie Wilson
Our Thoughts:
Let's face it. Some of the celebrities on I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here are barely celebrities. (And it's not hard to figure out why someone like Angelina Jolie wouldn't volunteer for this reality show.) But who needs A-listers, anyway? NBC spiced up the cast with some tabloid personalities viewers will have a good time “controlling” every week. The appeal of a reality show like this one is the trainwreck that likely occurs when celebrities are put in a fish-out-of-water situation.
