Make Me A Supermodel: Episode Five

From Angela Williams, for About.com

Feb 8 2008

SOMEBODY AIN’T COMING BACK…

Frankie gets up early and makes breakfast for Jay and Casey since they are in the bottom three. Since they face elimination, and miraculously Katy has escaped time and time again, he wants to make sure if it’s the last day for one of them it’s special. Awwww. Katy thinks that Casey will be safe because of his good looks and he’s new to the bottom three. Thankfully, Jay is sent home and we can get on with it.

BACK AT THE HOUSE

While waiting for the two hopefuls to return, Aryn says that Casey needs to tone up but he has a cute face. Ronnie says that Katy eats and sleeps too much. Frankie says Katy needs to embrace the opportunity. When Casey and Katy return, Ben cannot believe that Katy was given another chance. Perry says that the girls in the competition are all on milk cartons (missing) and don’t understand that they need to do something to standout. He says that not one girl in the house could replace Nikki. It’s true.

JUST WEIRD

It’s Fashion Week at Bryant Park, and the candidates attend a show for Mercedes Benz. Ronnie is so overwhelmed he cries. Afterward, it’s both Ben and Ronnie’s birthday, so the whole crew goes out to dinner. As they wait for everyone to get ready, Ronnie helps SBFF (StraightBestFriendForever) Ben with his walk. At dinner, they all share secrets, and for some unknown reason, Jacki feels compelled to let us know she can fart on command. And then she demonstrates. At dinner. In a fancy restaurant.

MORE LESSONS

More catwalk lessons the next day. Ben is improving, Ronnie is faltering, and the girls all need to step it up. In fact, Shannon is critiques for being so tall. Isn’t that what they want in models these days? Back at the house, they find liquor and food. Katy excuses herself to go to sleep. The others play a game called “Most Likely To.” Jacki is targeted by Perry as most likely to date a D-List celebrity. Perry is tagged by Ronnie as most likely to be two-faced. When asked who is least likely to improve, Ben says “she’s sleeping,” meaning Katy. Least likely to win? Perry picks Jacki. Ouch. Later, Ronnie and Ben feel that Perry is manipulating the ladies of the house, and they agree that they just need to focus on themselves. Being the last two standing people. Keep your mind on the competition. The next day they meet with the personal trainer again, and struggle through a routine, again. Katy is called out for continuing to smoke, but she doesn’t see that she is doing anything wrong.

BRYANT PARK

Each model will have three clothes changes for their walk at Bryant Park. The show goes over pretty well, but Scott French, the designer they represented, says hat Perry was too confident. Back at the house, Katy sleeps again as the other models say she isn’t trying hard enough to win. Katy wakes up and joins the others with a big piece of strawberry shortcake. Next, the models catwalk for the judges. Holly and Ben stand out, with Ben winning immunity from elimination next week. Casey tells Katy, in front of everyone, that her eating habits and smoking are keeping her from progressing in the competition. I jumped back from the television because for a moment, Katy looked like she was going to reenact a scene from Carrie. Ronnie, Katy, and Frankie are placed in the bottom three. I hope we actually see the others still standing next week, cause Katy is not a happy camper.
