The tenth anniversary of Project Runway features an international cast of designers and started with an outdoor runway in New York's Times Square.
Meet the designers competing on PR Season 10 and vote for your favorites on Twitter--by using their hash tags (the season's fan favorite will be handsomely rewarded.)
1. Ven Budhu
Twenty-eight-year-old Ven Budhu (#TeamVen) is from Berbice, Guyana and graduated from New York's Fashion Institute of Technology in 2006 with a focus on womenswear. He spent his third year of college attending Polimoda in Florence, Italy and his experience with different cultures influences his designs.
Budhu impressed the judges right out of the box, landing in the top three for the first challenge and winning the candy challenge of Episode 2, with a dress that used rock candy and drew inspiration from stained-glass windows.
2. Fabio Costa
Twenty-nine-year-old Fabio Costa (#TeamFabio) is from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and has an eclectic style that he describes as "postmodern." He's inspired by street fashions and designers like Comme des Garcons.
3. Gunnar Deatherage
Twenty-two-year-old Gunnar Deatherage (#TeamGunnar) is from La Grange, Kentucky. He applied for Project Runway last season and made it into the top twenty before being eliminated. But, as a former tailor who runs his own custom-design company, Deatherage could do well on Project Runway.
So far this season, Deatherage has been in the top three during the second episode's candy challenge.
4. Melissa Fleis
Thirty-one-year-old Melissa Fleis (#TeamMelissa) is from Rogers City, Michigan and has a MFA in Fashion Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.
Fleis says she finds inspiration historical art movements like Dada and focuses on designing "forward-thinking looks" that make women feel "strong" and "cutting edge."
5. Lantie Foster
Forty-seven-year-old Lantie Foster (#TeamLantie) is from Sacramento, California. She had unsuccessfully applied to Project Runway before getting on Season Ten.
Foster was in the bottom three during the first episode and eliminated for her design in Episode 2's candy challenge.
6. Beatrice Guapo
Twenty-eight-year-old Beatrice Guapo (#TeamBeatrice) is from Orange County, California and attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Marketing in Los Angeles. She runs the fashion label, GG Collective, with her mother and sister.
Guapo was eliminated in the first challenge when her knitwear failed to impress the Project Runway judges.
7. Alicia Hardesty
Twenty-seven-year-old lesbian and dread-wearing designer Alicia Hardesty (#TeamAlicia) is from Brandenburg, Kentucky and already has her own line, Original Tomboy, which caters to girlie (and not-so-girlie) girls. Her experience could serve Hardesty well on Project Runway.
8. Andrea Katz
Fifty-eight-year-old Andrea Katz (#TeamAndrea) is from Oceanside, New York. Although she attended art school, she's mostly a self-taught designer and doesn't follow fashion trends.
The self-proclaimed "radical feminist and anti-fashionista," Katz hasn't impressed the judges, but has remained safe through the first two episodes.
9. Buffi Jashanmal
Thirty-one-year-old Buffi Jashanmal (#TeamBuffi) studied fashion at London College of Fashion and at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City. She also launched a fashion line in Dubai, which led to several TV hosting gigs there.
Jashanmal cites the Ibiza clubbing scene as a major influence on her designs. She was in the bottom three during Episode Two's candy store challenge.
10. Nathan McDonald
Thirty-three-year-old Nathan McDonald is from Zanesville, Ohio and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. He finds inspiration in the fluid movement of the human body and has a background in sculpture.
McDonald launched the clothing line, Up Size, for plus-size women.
