Alex Michel was ABC's first Bachelor. The management consultant was hyped as a single woman's dream come true when The Bachelor premiered in 2002. Yep. Michel started it all. He was the first Bachelor to utter the words "Will you accept this rose?," the first Bachelor to propose on national TV -- and the first Bachelor to break up with his new fiance months later. Michel also affected the future of reality TV when he dumped contestant Trista Rehn, who later became the first Bachelorette.
