In TOWN HAUL, Genevieve and her team lead a modern-day barn raising, working with small-town residents to help create social change in their communities through design, rehabilitation and new construction. Everyone gets in on the act, from the mayor (who is also the town mechanic) to local business owners, from the town gossip to the town loner; communities take center stage with TOWN HAUL as they come together for an unforgettable display of teamwork and determination. In the first six episodes, viewers see residents of Jeffersonville, N.Y. give a new look to their Main Street, update the look of local businesses, design and construct an apartment for town icon "Cowboy" Bob and more. The ups and downs, tensions and triumphs that take place as the community pulls together make for an unforgettable television event. A subsequent six-episode installment of TOWN HAUL will premiere in March featuring Laurens, S.C.
"TOWN HAUL is all about the importance of creativity to a community's spirit and how, through design, we can solve social problems, define who we are as people, and as neighbors," Gorder said. "Rather than designing just a bedroom or a living room, design on this grand of a scale will help viewers see how a creative vision can impact the way an entire community lives and functions."
