A former Dallas Cowboy cheerleader, Melissa Rycroft won The Bachelor's 13th Season, but was then dumped by bachelor Jason Mesnick on national television.
Quick to bounce back, a week later Rycroft replaced an injured dancer on Dancing With the Stars Season Eight, and she and professional dancer Tony Dovolani waltzed their way into the finale--where they lost to Shawn Johnson. Now Rycroft will get another chance to beat the Olympic gymnast.
Since her DWTS appearance, Rycroft has helped Ryan Seacrest host Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve, been a special contributor to Good Morning America and (in April 2012) launched Melissa and Tye: A New Reality, a CMT reality show about Rycroft, her husband Tye Strickland and their bi-coastal life.
