A group of
supermodel wannabes face weekly challenges and live together while competing for a modeling contract.
How Each Season Unfolds:
- A group of ladies are chosen from all over the country to compete on the show.
- It's time for introductions when the contestants travel to the show's location -- usually New York or LA -- and meet with mentor and judge Tyra Banks for the first time.
- The contestants move into their new place, which is usually a fancy loft or suite.
- Each week, contestants compete in challenges including photo shoots and runway walks.
- After each challenge, the contestants must face the judges.
- At the end of each episode, the weakest contestant is eliminated from the show.
- The last model left standing is crowned America's Next Top Model at the end of the season.
Prize:
A management contract with Ford Models, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl, and the opportunity to appear in a top magazine.
