What was the best thing that came out of your “Starting Over” experience?
So many good things came out of the show, Latoya. I can’t pick just one but I have to say that my life is so much better now. I am happier, my husband is happier. Everything has changed in my life because Starting Over helped me find a way to kind of get rid of the clutter. They helped me get it under control and just be a better and happier person and get rid of the anger that was really weighing me down.
Do you still watch Starting Over?
I gotta be honest with you Latoya – No! I was trying to keep up with Cassie and Rachel when I left the house and I wanted to see their stories progress. But it just seems like it’s missing something without me. That may sound selfish and it probably is but is seems like the comedy is gone from it. I brought a lot of laughter to the show, Latoya! Now there’s like too much depressing stuff for me. I watch it now and then but on a whole, no. And you can print that!That's just my perspective after watching the show. It's a great program. It’s also real life. It really does help women. It’s not just a show. It’s like therapy and then they make a show out of it but they don’t even show a third of the therapy that you get. There’s only an hour for each show including commercials but it does help women. It’s more than just entertainment. It’s transforming women’s lives and helping them achieve their goals.
