MUTINY...AGAIN...
You would think this far into the game; everyone would realize you can’t trust anyone else. Natalie is still salty over Erik. When Erik and Amanda return from the resort, Cirie tells them not to even try to look pitiful, which Amanda always does. Erik pulls Cirie aside, not knowing that Natalie is standing behind their hut listening to everything. He tells Cirie that he thinks that Amanda and Natalie are the biggest threats, and it should be Erik, Parvati and Cirie to the end. Natalie interviews that she wanted to bitch-slap Erik like his mama when she heard him say that.Later, Amanda, Natalie and Cirie talk. Cirie recounts the entire conversation for Amanda. Amanda says that the problem with Erik’s strategy of telling them all something different is there are four women left, and eventually, they will all talk to each other. They laugh at Erik’s expense. He sees this and knows he’s screwed and has to make amends. First, he tells Amanda that he knows they think he’s full of crap. She tells him she knows he wants to vote her out. She says she knows she needs to win immunity. Erik realizes it’s Animal Kingdom up in the there, and it’s Survive or die. Finally, he gets it. Or does he?
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Parvati, pale as ever, returns. They game is to solve three puzzles. They must criss-cross ropes to dig down at the cross point for puzzle pieces. Three puzzles give us a winner. The ladies don’t want Erik to win, but he does anyhow. Back at camp, Natalie asks outright if she’s on the chopping block, and Cirie tells her yes. Then Cirie wonders aloud if Erik would be stupid enough to give Natalie the necklace. Natalie doesn’t think it will work, but agrees to try to get Erik to align with her. She approaches him and says he should give her the necklace and they both vote for Amanda. He asks why he has to give her the necklace for them to vote for Amanda. Natalie says that Cirie is with them, so if he gives her the necklace, he ensures her immunity, and the three of them will vote Amanda out. Erik actually says he’ll think about it. Next, Erik wants to know if Cirie will really vote with him and Natalie. She tells him that she will if he proves he can be trusted by giving the necklace to Natalie. Then, Cirie tells Amanda to argue at council, and she and Natalie will stay neutral, trying to convince Erik to give up the necklace.TRIBAL COUNCIL
The jury is seated, including Alexis, who was the 3rd blindside in a row when Amanda produced the idol. Erik takes this time to ask Amanda, Parvati, Cirie and Natalie for forgiveness. Amanda, playing right into Cirie’s scheme, says Erik has told them all the same thing and it’s not cool. Erik feels he needs to redeem himself. Cirie says you can redeem yourself in the game, but actions speak louder than words (…as in GIVE THE NECKLACE TO NATALIE). When Jeff asks Erik if he wants to give up immunity, he says he does, and gives the necklace to Natalie. The ladies all look shocked. The jury hangs their heads in quiet pity and laughter. Erik crosses his fingers as he goes up to vote. He votes for Parvati. Everyone else votes for Erik. He actually looks shocked. On his way out, he says, “You guys drive me crazy. I should have known better.” James yells out “I’ve lost my reign as the dumbest Survivor ever!” Yep, that pretty much sums it up.The season finale is this Sunday. I’m interested to see how the Power of Three (Amanda, Parvati and Cirie) will keep the Black Widow (Natalie) from spinning a new web. See you then!
