Last week Mary was blindsided, leaving the Airai tribe without an aspiring couple. Seems that isn’t the kind of alliance they are going to allow. Mikey B talks to Joel about the weaker players, mainly the females. Mikey B comments that he counts Chet among the females. That was just wrong. Karma coming at you in a future episode, babe. Anyhooo, Joel interviews that he’s letting Mikey B talk and feel like he’s in charge, but in reality he doesn’t care what he says, and he doesn’t trust him.
A TRIBE DIVIDED
Over at Malakal, the cozy couple foursome invite Eliza to accompany them to the beach for a nighttime talk. They work on her for an alliance, saying Yau-Man or Ciria need to go next. They know, too, that they need Ciria’s vote if they are to get rid of Yau-Man. The other foursome also needs Ciria’s vote, so she’s basically the one to win over.
TREE MAIL
Both tribes receive tree mail telling them to prepare for battle. They also get to choose three prizes, which are listed in a book. Malakal chooses shelter, a light kit, and a survival kit. Airai chooses shelter, fishing kit, and a kitchen set. May the best tribe win the prize.
THE CHALLENGE
The game involves each team wading in a lagoon, where they must try to get five sand-filled bags to their end of the lagoon. It is okay to steal bags from the other team. It starts raining as the two teams knock each other down getting to the bags. Erik, who needs to see an anger management specialist when he gets home, knocks Eliza in the head with a bag, then picks up Amanda and flips her, hard, into the lagoon. James sees this behavior toward the women, and zooms across the lagoon and gets Erik in a headlock. Thank God it wasn’t Parvati he flipped, or James may have snapped his neck. You don’t mess with Malakal women. The favorites, Malakal, get five bags to their end zone first and win their three prizes. They decide to send Ami to Exile Island, along with Kathy from Airai.
STRATEGIC PLANNING…
The favorites discuss their win. Ciria wanders off by herself, saying she doesn’t feel at all secure. She says she is nervous because of all of the personal relationships. She also says that whoever wants her vote needs to be doing her laundry and feeding her. Eliza tells Jonathan that Parvati and Amanda are working on Ciria. Seeing an opportunity, Ciria gets Parvati and Amanda to commit to an alliance til’ the end, even if James proposes and Little Ozzies pop out. They agree. However, we all know their alliances are to James and Ozzy. Except for this week’s vote, which doesn’t threaten them…
HARD TIMES
Over at Exile Island, Kathy allows Ami to find the clues, but plays dumb (I think) and doesn’t tell her they need to swim to the other island. She also notices there is a storm brewing, so Exile Island is basically a bust for Ami. It starts raining hard again and the temperature drops. The Airai tribe gets soaked since their shelter isn’t all that stable. Malakal gets a good night’s sleep, warm and dry in a cave. The next morning, Airai doesn’t fare so well. Alexis can’t stop shaking and Chet tries to keep her warm. They realize they need to get it together before the elimination challenge.
THE CHALLENGE
This challenge involves each team throwing coconuts into a net being held by the opposing team. The object is to fill up the other team’s net, making it too heavy for them to keep off of the ground. The Favorites start out holding their own, but in the end, the Fans win it with that last heavy coconut.
MORE MUTINY
The Malakal tribe just can’t seem to get it together. Someone has to go home. Ami is sad to have come back from Exile Island and lost a challenge. Jonathan tells Yau-Man that Parvati is sleeping with James so she needs to go. It’s not clear if he means he’s jealous, or if he has a problem with James and Parvati, but he never mentions Amanda and Ozzy. James admits he knows they are after Parvati, but he assures her he won’t let anything happen to her. Normally I would find that sexy. Today, I find the green-eyed monster on my shoulder. Yes, Parvati needs to GO. It’s probably time for her to shave her legs anyhow. Agreeing with me, Jonathan tells Ciria that Parvati has both Ozzy and James wrapped around her finger, and she needs to go. Ciria wants Yau-Man to go, saying if he makes it to exile island to get the idol they are screwed. At least Ciria has a reason for someone to leave. Everyone else is just throwing bogus stuff out there, except for me. Jonathan and Ciria go back and forth with her reminding him she lasted longer on her season than he did for a reason. She refuses to commit to either side, leaving Jonathan frustrated. Oz says they need to take out Eliza. Jon says Eliza is not a threat. The couples try to sway Ciria, but she’s not having it. James, standing too close to Parvati, says that they need to stop letting Ciria run things.
TRIBAL COUNCIL
Jonathan and Ciria argue, further confirming the division among the Malakal tribe. Ciria says Jonathan is angry she won’t vote his way. He says he is mad about her leaving their alliance. She says she’s playing the game her own way. The votes are counted, and poor, quiet little Yau-Man is sent home. Not sure what that accomplished, but it is what it is. I think going forward, Ciria had better watch her back. She’s making enemies, and either she and Jonathan will end up the next “how did we get here?” couple, or, he’s gonna spearhead a campaign against her the likes Survivor has never seen. I say she’s setting herself up to leave next week, cause you can be sure the couples are going to try to be the last four standing. Then I predict it will be two couples against each other, with the winning couple splitting $1M. Believe me, it’s already been pillow talk. Remember what I said folks…
