BACK AT PEOPLES TEMPLE, I MEAN OVER AT MALAKAL…

Back over at the Malakal camp, Erick is again in awe of Ozzy as he climbs trees for coconuts. As Ozzy gives Erik a lesson on Climbing Trees 101, Cirie says that every time Erik says Ozzy’s name, stardust comes out of his mouth. She’s totally correct in her prediction that if Ozzy were to propose right now there would be an island wedding. With Erik, not Amanda…Ozzy, self appointed leader of the tribe since everyone is scared of him or in awe, decides they need to take the boat to the back beach. Cirie wants to be a team player and agrees to help row the boat. She reminds Ozzy that she isn’t a strong swimmer, but he doesn’t care. In the middle of nowhere, Ozzy decides the need to stop the boat at a reef, and dive for food. Cirie is not happy with this decision, but doesn’t say so. She remains in the boat and allows Erik, Ozzy’s muse and Amanda, Ozzy’s boo, to help him out.

THE CHALLENGE

For this challenge, the teams need to roll a traditional Micronesian money stone through a course and smash targets to reveal smaller money stones. The smaller money stones will, of course, form a puzzle. Four team members will be blindfolded and let verbally by one team member. Cirie leads for Malakal, Eliza for Airai. The winning team gets a dream trip to an unspecified island to take showers, wash their hair, and eat snacks. Poor Kathy and her crew were just complaining about needed to bathe, but it wasn’t enough for them to get it in gear. Malakal wins the challenge, and when asked to sacrifice someone for Exile Island, Ozzy immediately asks Tracey to take one for the team. No one else even speaks up. Told you. Jim Jones. They also choose to send Jason back, but thankfully, we are spared any scenes from their time in exile since we have to watch Kathy whine and cry over the next few minutes.

Malakal arrives on “the island” for their prize. Amanda and Amy join Ozzy as he takes a shower. Erik and Cirie sit this one out and opt for personal showers. I’m thanking the censors for that one. After everyone is so fresh and so clean, they return to their dirty camp.

OMG…KATHY IS STILL CRYING

It’s gotten worse. It is raining again. There are bats and rats in the cave. And oh my gosh…bugs! The next morning, Kathy looks worse that Chet did at his worst. She didn’t sleep. She has no strength. She cries that she needs more hugs. James actually feels sorry for her, in a “go ahead and take your butt home” kind of way. He says she’s lost her motivation, and leaving would be a good thing. Again, Kathy tries to send vibes to her daughter, who I hope isn’t watching with a room full of her friends. Kathy can barely hold her head up. She is wandering around calling on God and everyone else because she’s so depressed. She says that going on Survivor is the dumbest thing she has every done. She did it for everyone else, but she needs to leave, for herself. I’m ready for a helicopter to show up and drop her a line, but in the interest of good editing, we have to suffer through everyone trying to get her to stay. Jeff Probst finally arrives to put Kathy out of her misery. As the sun goes down, the remaining Airai tribe sits around the fire and Alexis says that for three days they’ve had no water, no cooked food, and no fire. But wait, aren’t they sitting around a FIRE? What gives?

OZZY/OSCAR

Now, Cirie is calling Ozzy by his given name, Oscar. She puts a little bug in Amanda’s ear about his controlling behavior. Amanda admits she saw a side of Ozzy she wasn’t too keen on during the boat ride, and that he is kind of arrogant and it bothers her. If she really means that, now I really hope they used condoms. Anyhow, Cirie says that getting Amanda to see the real Oscar/Ozzy was worth being terrified in the boat out in the middle of nowhere.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE

After Jason and Tracy return from Exile Island, Jeff speeds through an explanation for Kathy’s departure. For the challenge, one member of each team must carry one end of a rope across a bridge and to a platform, clip it to a block holding a puzzle piece, and ride it back to shore. Once all of the pieces are back on shore, they have to let two members put the puzzle together to form a perfect square. Winning team gets immunity. For Malakal, Ozzy makes most of the trips, allowing Erik to go one time. For Airai, the ladies take turns, but no one seems to help James crank the wheel and reel them back in. Even with Ozzy’s speed and Malakal’s teamwork, the Airai team wins immunity.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO GO, BUT WHO?

Amanda and Cirie apologize to Jim Jones for not winning the challenge. I don’t know why, but they feel they need to. They discuss who should go home. Amanda and Cirie want to vote for Erik, but Ozzy/Oscar/Jim says they need Erik so Tracy needs to go. Amy runs over to Tracy and tells her they are trying to get rid of her. Amy says that if they can get Amanda and Cirie to vote for Erik, but if Erik, Tracy and Amy vote for Oz then he’s outta there. Such a conniving little witch. I love her! Tracy tells Erik the plan, but you know, he loves Ozzy and doesn’t want to deal with the repercussions if the plan doesn’t work.

TRIBAL COUNCIL

EVERYONE votes for Tracy, who is the only one who votes for Ozzy. What the hell happened? Well, at least she won’t be around if Ozzy/Oscar comes up with some sort of special island koolaid.
