MALAKAL BACK FROM COUNCIL, AGAIN
Traci is gone. That eerie night vision guides us all back to the Malakal camp. Erik is feeling lucky to still be around, but scared to death because he is the last fan on the team. Ozzy keeps saying he doesn’t feel like the leader of the tribe. He thinks he has know-how and opinions, but wants to avoid the target on his back from being called a leader. Amy and Cirie catch crabs for breakfast. Good thing that’s what they were doing, for a minute I thought they were filming Blair Witch III. Ozzy tells Amy he’s not comfortable with last night’s tribal. Amy says that Traci was turning on Ozzy but she stopped it. Ozzy interviews that Amy is too adamant about being on his side and he doesn’t trust her.AIRAI
Ladies talk about pizza dreams. Jason, who I don’t even remember switching tribes, catches a big rat and they end up eating it. James says that their island is nasty and he wants to go home. Says the water is so dirty Jacques Cousteau wouldn’t go in it. Parvoti wants to go back to Ozzy and Amanda. They say they are fine as long as they make it back to the merge. Parvoti tells Natalie that they should form an alliance until the merge. Hopefully, the two of them can get with Eliza and Alexis and James to make up four, meaning Parvoti will need to go. After the merge, the targets will be on the threats: Ozzy and James. Yes, that Jezebel wants to get her (my) man James off the island before the final four.TREE MAIL
At Airai, Jason and Eliza read the tree mail message: “Choose one member from the other tribe to sit out today’s challenge and have immunity at the next tribal council. Good for tonight’s council only. Circle their name, seal envelope and present to Jeff at the challenge.” Eliza proceeds to repeat the directions for us that weren’t tuned in 10 seconds ago. Over at Malakal, they get the same note. In addition, they get a hint about the challenge. Airai sit’s out Alexis and Malakal sits out Ozzy, who leave for Exile Island.THE CHALLENGE
The teams have to navigate an obstacle course, including balancing on a rotating bar, while members of the opposing team try to knock them off with sand bags. Have to grab five flags and bring back to the starting point. Playing for immunity, pizza and beer. I think they should play for fruit and dental floss. Parvoti sits out to make the teams even. Erik tries his hardest to fill Ozzy’s shoes. He is hit a few times with sand bags, but makes it through. Amanda falls off of the course a couple of times and has to go back to the beginning. Erik takes a hard hit but manages to finish. Even so, Jason pulls ahead of him and Airai wins the challenge.EXILE ISLAND
Ozzy already has the hidden immunity idol, but he needs to know if anyone has picked up the fake one he left in its place. He acts innocent as he and Alexis go over the clues which lead to the spot where the original idol was. Ozzy picks up the rock and sees his fake idol is gone. Inside he laughs. On the outside, his face remains emotionless since Alexis has no clue what’s going on.PLEADING HIS CASE
Erik pleads his case to Cirie and Amanda. He tells them that he has nothing to lose by being honest, so he tells them how Amy tried to mastermind Ozzy’s elimination from Malakal. He says that Amy was trying to manipulate Traci and Erik the whole time. Amy approaches and asks Cirie and Amy if Erik is telling them everything she’s done since she became a member of the tribe. Cirie and Amanda wonder who is telling the truth. When Ozzy gets back from the island, Erik grabs his attention first, telling him the story of Amy trying to get him out. Ozzy is not pleased, and decides he trusts Erik more than he trusts Amy. I’m feeling that Jim Jones vibe again…PIZZA AND BEER
Over at Airai, Jason is congratulated for his part in the challenge. He feels uneasy as a part of the tribe though, and is happy he has the “hidden immunity idol.” Uh huh. Anyhow, the pizza and beer arrive and they chow down. James pops open a beer with his teeth. Jason can’t do it, so James does it for him. I swear that man is sexy. Right about now, I want a Bud. Lite of course. Just so he can open it. I don’t drink beer.SORE LOSERS
Cirie and Amanda are still trying to figure out whom they can trust more. While Erik is climbing trees and getting coconuts, Amy approaches the ladies and pleads her own case. She feels comfortable that she has been embraced, and then walks over to Erik and thanks him for putting her on the chopping block because it made them finally trust her. And she means it. Since she has a machete in her hands, Erik tells her she’s welcome.TRIBAL COUNCIL
For the fourth time in a row, Malakal faces elimination. Jeff asks the normal questions. Yes, Jeff, Erik is aware he is the last Fan on the tribe. Yes, Jeff, Ozzy is starting to lose trust in one of the Favorites. Amy tears up and goes for the emotional factor trying to save her butt by lying. Amanda still tries to be doe-eyed for the camera. Ozzy and Cirie are calm and cool. Erik tells the truth and hopes to spend another week with Ozzy. Bottom line, Amy is voted out based on their lack of trust.Next week, Jason shares the “idol” with Eliza, the teams merge and somebody gets jealous. Alrighty then…
