This week we open to Denise saying she played it safe last week by voting for Erik, but she feels she may have made a mistake. Phei-Gee, who is up early, interviews that she feels like an outsider and knows she is the least-liked of the group, totally forgetting that no one trusts or likes Todd. They find a “tree mail” mentioning skills and popularity. Todd says that he hopes he is both skillful and popular. Okay, yeah, maybe skillful…
Reward Challenge
For the challenge, the players have to fire arrows from a Chinese Repeat Crossbow toward a board with everyone’s name on it. The hitch is you have to give all of your arrows to the other players, and those players will be aiming at the board trying to kit their own name, you just hope they hit yours instead. The player with the most hits wins. The winner will be flown by private jet to the Great Wall of China, served a delicious meal, and then spend the night at the Great Wall. Probably thinking Courtney’s shots will be all over the board, she is handed 12 arrows. Phei-Gee is given only one. Todd hits his name five out of six tries. Courtney comes along and hits both Denise and Todd’s names on the board, eventually giving Denise one bow over Todd. Denise wins the challenge and chooses Todd to accompany her to the Great Wall. Denise tells Todd that she does not want to take Phei-Gee because she doesn’t want her to get stronger from resting and eating before the immunity challenge. Phei-Gee overhears the comment, and says it is tough because she chose Denise for a remarkable reward. She reminds Denise that she took her on her reward, fed her, and has been her friend. She also reminds her she will be on the jury. Denise hears her, but takes Courtney as her second choice, saying Courtney needs to eat.
Back at camp…
Amanda and Phei-Gee return to camp and Phei-Gee says that she should not have said what she said to Denise, but she was hurt when she heard Denise say she doesn’t want Phei-Gee to get any stronger. Amanda cries because she and Phei-Gee have to do all of the work at camp. She asks Phei-Gee why she doesn’t like her. Phei-Gee says that she just hasn’t had time to get to know here. They spend time together talking and find pears and limes in the trees. They fix rice with wine and generally pig out. Amanda tells Phei-Gee that Denise is like a puppet, going with the flow, and Phei-Gee sees that Amanda is giving her insight into the remaining players and how they feel about each other. Phei-Gee asks Amanda if she would vote Todd or Denise off next, and Amanda says she is open to anything.
Off to the Wall
The dirty trio of Todd, Denise and Courtney board the jet for the Great Wall. They reiterate that they can’t feed Phei-Gee right now because she would get stronger, and they believe that Amanda will understand why she had to stay behind. They sip on champagne as the wait-staff holds their noses (they didn’t actually, but I’m sure they wanted to…). When they arrive at the Great Wall, a table is set up in the middle of nowhere (is there a kitchen on the Great Wall?) with raw meats surrounding a bowl with what looks like hot water. The waiter tries to tell them to “dip it” or something, but they don’t understand. As they eat what they can, Todd says he hopes Phei-Gee is getting weaker. Courtney interviews that it’s good Denise brought Todd instead of Amanda because Amanda is less likely to stir up trouble back at camp while they are gone. Todd asks them if Phei-Gee were to win immunity again would there be fighting amongst the three of them, or would they just take Amanda out. Denise realizes that Todd will stab anyone in the back. Then they go off to bed. On the Great Wall. Literally. No Holiday Inn or hut.
Home Sweet Home
The trio returns to camp with stories about the awful raw meat. Amanda is seriously annoyed by their complaining about food while she and Phei-Gee had to eat rice again. Denise tells Amanda that Todd made her a sandwich, but decided to eat it on the plane instead of giving it to her. Amanda finally admits that Todd is a snake.
