Weren't We Just There?
The 9 remaining teams are instructed to fly to Hanoi, Vietnam and all flights have a brief stop over in Beijing, China (which was the first stop in the race).
She's Probably Heard This Before
David, the coalminer from Kentucky, who's racing with his wife, Mary, begins waxing philosophical about visiting Vietnam, since his father served there during the Vietnam War. Just as David's really getting into the emotional ramifications of it, complete with soulful background music, Mary interrupts with a loud 'Hurry up!' because other teams are passing them en route to the airport. David's moment was ruined, but we couldn't help chuckling at this classic display of an archetypal married couple.
Money Management
Teams get a crash course in the art of effective money management when they are given no money for this leg of the race. That means the only money they have is what was left over from the last leg. The father/daughter team of Duke/Lauren have only $11 to their name, which presents immediate problems when they realize that the cab ride from the airport to their next destination is going to cost a lot more than that. Their cab driver, however, is very understanding and lets them pay with what they have.
Not That Kind of Hotel
Teams are instructed to travel to the infamous 'Hanoi Hilton' to find their next clue. Site of the notorious prisoners-of-war camp, the teams must search through the prison-turned-tourist attraction for the flight suit of its most famous 'guest' Arizona Senator John McCain.
