In The Hot Seat
As we mentioned in the last recap, Tim trying to appease Nicole, while also being a member of Arrow, only served to put a big old target on himself, as it was made abundantly clear when James returned from the Boardroom. Tim even congratulated Nicole through the hedges and then had to come back in to face the annoyed questioning of his teammates. Oh, Tim. . .
More Lucid This Week
Trump was actually lucid this week when he met the wannabes at the printing facility of the LA Times to give them their next task. Sure he tossed out his usual 'the best' and 'me, me, me' spiel but as far as his ramblings go, this one actually made some sense.
Sunday Supplement
Teams were tasked with creating an advertising supplement to the Sunday LA Times to promote SmartMouth, a new brand of mouth wash.
Stepping Up?
Tim, feeling the heat, decided to step up and pitched the marketing idea for Arrow. His team went along with his idea, but there was still lingering resentment over his 'divided loyalties.'
Back To the Beginning
As it was in the beginning, Kinetic is once again headed by PM Heidi.
'Hot Chicks' versus Ordinary People
Kinetic decided to use themselves as models, pitching an ad about how SmartMouth lasts for an entire 24 hours, 7 days a week. Arrow decided to go with Tim's idea - which was about how everyone had bad breath and the science of SmartMouth can help you counteract this.
Irony!
James, who had been accused of being an 11th hour detractor by Surya, was annoyed by Frank, who questioned Tim's concept in the 11th hour, wondering if their print ad was really conveying the right message.
And The Winner Is. . .
. . .Kinetic. The SmartMouth people found their supplement's presentation (cut to look like the bottles of SmartMouth) and concept more visually appealing and understandable than Arrow, which they found 'disjointed.'
Pretty Cool Reward
After some rather 'blah' rewards, this week's reward was tailor-made for the winning team. Kinetic's team members were surprised when their mothers (or in Kristine's case - her husband) showed up at the mansion to cook them dinner and just to hang out for the evening.
Get Your Head in the Game, Tim!
You'd think that Tim, who was definitely going to be targeted by his teammates, would be worrying about the impending Boardroom. Instead, he fussed about the fact that he had to meet Nicole's mother 'through the hedges' and what Nicole was telling her mother about him. All his teammates seemed fed up with him at that point.
Mother Knows Best
Even Nicole's mom found the showmance between her daughter and Tim distracting, reminding Nicole about why she was really there.
No Surprise
Tim's immediately in the hot seat in the Boardroom as his teammates come out firing - calling his loyalty in question. They stated that his showmance with Nicole and his divided loyalties were a major distraction and reason for the team's loss. Tim flounders - badly - when he can't completely dismiss the showmance with Nicole, trying to play both sides of the fence. Ivanka immediately called him on it - stating that in these circumstances, his showmance with Nicole and his loyalty to Arrow ARE mutually exclusive things. Tim simply wouldn't get that and after the usual arguing and interrupting and raised voices - Tim was fired.
Grayed Out
Tim cited in his car exit interview that he hated the fact that he would now be 'grayed out' on the NBC.com site. Frankly, we would think he'd hate the fact that he was made to look - in front of a (diminishing but still large) national audience - like a fool in his dealings with Nicole would be a more pressing concern.
