"Once Upon A Time"
Sixteen candidates arrive in New York City for a chance to become Martha Stewart's apprentice. After splitting themselves into two teams, their first task is to create a children's book. One candidate forces his team to accept a risky storyline while another relies solely upon the advice of a makeshift focus group. The losing team faces Martha Stewart in her conference room and one member is sent home.

"Business Is Blooming"
The 15 remaining candidates open competing flower shops and vie for customers in New York City's West Village. One team's Project Manager can't handle the growing tension on his team and decides to quit while the other team's leader makes a pricing decision that may cost them the win. The losing team faces Martha Stewart in the conference room and the second person is sent home.
