I asked Prince Lorenzo a few questions about his Bachelor experience. Here’s what he had to say.
Are you in love right now?
Yes!
Will it be difficult for you to stay away from the woman you fell in love with [until the finale airs]?
Well, we do get to see each other, just not in public. So I don’t think that’s going to be a problem.
Is there anything you are nervous that they might air? [Something] that you may be a little bit embarrassed about?
On the first episode, no.
What about the rest of the season?
I’m the kind of person who doesn’t like to show affection in public, and especially kissing in front of cameras. I don’t know how I’m going to feel when that airs. I’m not an actor. It’s just a strange feeling.
When you’re the center of attention for so many weeks, will it be hard to go back to everyday life?
I can’t think of anything better right now than everyday life, Latoya!...
I’m sure you’re glad you won’t ever have to say the words “Will you accept this rose?” again!
I was never a big fan of roses. Yea. I never want to say it again.
You have the prince title and a successful career. Were you concerned about gold diggers on the show...?
I was nervous about it because they announced me before the show started filming and I guess that’s when they started getting a bunch of applicants. I was getting these strange emails, before I changed my address, about how these girls wanted to marry me. They don’t even know me, you know? I was concerned by it. I think the casting group involved with the show did a really good job. They have a really good idea of my personality and what I’m looking for. I think they weeded out most if not all of the people who were there for the wrong reason.
During the teleconference, Lorenzo also said:
- He’s not worried about the fact that the other Bachelor relationships have broken up. He doesn’t think the past has anything to do with the present.
- He is just a regular guy who happens to be a prince..
- He can see himself marrying the person he fell in love with.
- He likes girls who are shorter than he is because that makes him feel taller. When he signed up for the show, he was looking for a woman who is sincere, trustworthy, motivated, and fun -- someone he can call his best friend.
