Leonard is also among the most sought-after motivational/inspirational speakers in the world today. His speech, titled Power (Prepare, Overcome and Win Every Round), is consistently booked with major Fortune 500 companies throughout the United States and abroad.
Most recently, Leonard has been Chairman of Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing, a promotion company that has enjoyed a three-year broadcast deal with ESPN2, and has been responsible for the development of fighters in every weight class. Leonard has provided overall leadership to the company and works with fighters, promoters, television executives, venues and boxing commissioners to create exciting, entertaining and well-matched competitive boxing events.
Leonard has always been devoted to the community and to helping those in need. For many years he has been the International Chairman of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundations Walk for a Cure and is actively involved in raising both awareness and funds. Leonard lives in Southern California with his wife Bernadette and the two youngest of his four children.
