Premise:
The Mole follows a group of 12 contestants who try to win money as a team each week -- but there's a mystery player whose job it is to sabotage the game and prevent the contestants from getting richer. The players must try to figure out who among them is The Mole and they must learn as much as they can about the game's secret saboteur. At the end of each episode, the contestant who knows the least about The Mole is "executed" (eliminated from the game).
A Brief History of the Show:
The Mole, which is based on a Belgian reality show that became an international franchise, ran for four seasons on ABC (including two celebrity editions). The first two seasons were hosted by news anchor Anderson Cooper and the the last two seasons, which were celebrity editions, were hosted by sports personality Ahmad Rashad. The Mole gained loyal fans during its four-season run, but ABC took the show off the air for four years before bringing it back in summer 2008. The fifth season of the show, featuring non-celebrities, is hosted by TV host Jon Kelley.
