GETTING RIGHT TO IT
In sunny Buenos Aires, the pot is up to $331K. The first mission for the final four is called “How’s the View”? Jon meets them at an abandoned mill and they divide into two teams. Nicole and Craig end up together again, and Mark and Paul are teammates. One team member will hold a camera and the other will wear vision goggles. The team members holding the cameras cannot speak. First up, the person holding the camera needs to feed a visual to the other person so they can get shapes into a preschool box. They have one minute to get three shapes in, remembering that everything is actually backward for the individual wearing the goggles. Paul and Craig wear the goggles as they trust Mark and Nicole with the cameras. They both manage to complete their little puzzles and move onto the next round, even though Craig asked Nicole a question and she answered, so they lost $1K. Next, Paul and Craig have to kick soccer balls into a goalie thingy. Neither of them gets the job done. Then it’s time for a tea party. They manage to get most of the tea in the cups but some spilleth over, so not all of the money went into the pot. Lastly, they have to walk a plank, twenty feet up in the air, pick up a piece of chalk, and get to the other side and write a message on a chalkboard based on what they see from the images projected by Mark and Nicole. Paul manages to cross the plank and write the message, Craig does not. Either way, he seems to have conquered his “fear” of vertigo and heights during the mission.THE NEXT MISSION ALREADY?
At dinner, Mark and Craig excuse themselves to use the bathroom. It was kind of cool to watch, because I’ve only seen ladies do that. Never seem the fellas tag-team to the potty. I’m wondering what the conversation was like. It’s not like they had to freshen up or anything like we do. Anyhow, while they are gone Nicole tells Paul that she thinks Craig is The Mole because he had trouble keeping his left and right straight during the challenge. Paul reminds Nicole that those of us that aren’t laparoscopic surgeons can’t retrain our brains during one one-minute mission. Having said that, he still wonders if Craig could have done a better job.The next mission is upon them. It’s called “Cell Out”. They each choose a small cell to be locked in. Inside, they have to play the word game “double it”, and go from CELL to MOLE to be released from their cell. The first one out becomes the sniper in a game of paint ball. The remaining players, once released, have to get through the maze and out of the room without being hit by the sniper. One of the players holds the last exemption to be gifted during this season. Mark unscrambles his words first and becomes the sniper. After Paul drags his feet on his word list and finally joins Nicole and Craig, the three of them try to maneuver the course and only Paul makes it out unscathed. Or should I say, unpainted. Luckily, for Mark, Craig held the exemption card, so Mark is a go for the finale.
