Before signing up for the Real World, Johanna was working as a case manager at a children's home. She was also accepted to Columbia University's Masters Social Work program. She put off her studies to move to Austin.
Lacey, 23, lives in Tallahassee, Florida where she works as a hairdresser. MTV describes her parents as ex-hippies turned devoutly religious. They limited Lacey's access to television, movies, and pop culture in general.
Melinda, 21, is a Wisconsin girl! She grew up in Milwaukee and now lives in Germantown. Melinda was working as a waitress before she signed up for The Real World. She aspires to be a dentist.
Nehemiah, 19, hails from Rancho Cucamonga, CA. He already has a college degree in Media Arts and hopes to become a filmmaker one day. Nehemiah had a tough childhood and his mother is currently in rehab.

Wes, 20, hails from a Kansas City suburb. He is a junior at Arizona State University, where he is an athlete and a frat boy.
