I sat down to transcribe my interview with The Road to Stardom's latest booted contestant Eddie and you’ll never guess what happened. I had a tape recorder malfunction! It turns out my conversation wasn’t recorded -- but I can tell you what the 25-year-old rapper had to say. Here we go!

Is he single?
Sorry, ladies. He’s taken.

How did he feel when Missy commented to her dancers that he is handsome?
He was smiling from ear to ear.

Who does he want to win the competition?
He thinks Akil, the only rapper left standing, should make it all the way.

Was he surprised that he got kicked off?
Not really. By that time, he had realized that the judges were leaning more toward singers, not rappers.

Was he embarrassed when he had to perform in a country-western bar for a performance challenge?
Actually, he had a lot of fun. But he wasn’t too happy about wearing the cowboy outfit.

Did his life in New Orleans change because of the show?
Sort of. He was always popular in school, but now things have reached a whole new level. He was even chased down the street by a group of girls recently.

What was his plan when he got on the show?
To stay focused! He didn't want to turn into a character for reality TV. He avoided drama, and made sure people would remember him for the music he created – and not something crazy that he did.

Does he have a website?
Yep. The address is something fans may have guessed. It’s www.DoubleEDoubleE.com.
