In the limo after last week’s elimination, the girls discuss the competition. Dominique says that being in the bottom two was a wake up call for her, but she belongs in the competition, and she is in it to win it. Lauren worries that her punk personality will overshadow her desire to be there. She vows to work on her confidence. Didn’t even mention her WALK. Back at the house, Amis prances around, posing and joking about her fake tattoos as Fatima spends way too much time acting disgusted with Amis. Fatima judging anyone is starting to get old.
TYRA MAIL
“Turn up the heat, or you’ll get hosed.” The girls meet Miss J at a fire station. They have 90 seconds to change into an outfit and walk a fake runway for the firefighters. They scream. Aimee, the conservative Mormon model wannabe, is upset about changing her clothes in front of the other girls. Could it be that chastity belt they call “underwear”? Hmm… Fatima doesn’t put on the shoes Miss J left out to compliment the outfit, and he tells her he’s disappointed in her and makes her change. Dominique feels she had the best walk of all the girls, and when Whitney walks, Dominique remarks that Whitney looks like a drag queen. Miss J tells Dominique that she stopped just short of dropping it like it’s hot and needs to tone it down. Don’t let the pole in the firehouse fool you!
MORE DRAMA IN THE HOUSE
Back at the house Aimee says she wants to take a shower, and Marvita comments that she needs to use the bathroom. Aimee tells her there are two other bathrooms in the house. Aimee does not want anyone in the bathroom while she is taking her shower, and Whitney comes to her defense, saying Aimee told everyone early on that she is shy. Marvita says that she didn’t realize Aimee had that problem, and then Fatima, drama queen herself, says that Marvita needs to direct her comments toward Whitney since she is the one who spoke up on Aimee’s behalf. Makes no sense, but sets the stage for good drama in coming weeks with Whitney and Fatima, if they are both still there. Later, Dominique tells Fatima that Whitney reminds her of southern, non-cultured White trash. This from the girl everyone is sure is probably a man.
MORE TYRA MAIL
“Better keep your story straight, or you will be out of order.” Not sure what that means, but they end up meeting Miss J at the House of Tuleh to model their designs on the runway. The winner will get a photo shoot for Lot29 with Jaslene, Cycle 8 winner. Jaslene shows up with Ann Shoket, Editor and Chief of Seventeen Magazine, and they help judge the girls. They have 3 minutes to change into their outfits with no help at all. Be late, and the show goes on without you. Whitney models a bikini, but accidentally has one breast exposed. Without hesitation or disruption, she rocks the runway and doesn’t stop, like she’s supposed to. Of course, Lauren runs down the runway and runs back like she’s scared. Fatima mis-buttons her jacket, and actually thought no one would notice. Amis kind of looked like Beaver Cleaver’s mom. In the end Kataryzna won the challenge and picked both Marvita and Amis to accompany her on the shoot. Jaslene gave constructive criticism to the girls, which Lauren didn’t take too well. She had asked Lauren if she wanted to be in the competition. Ouch.
EVEN MORE TYRA MAIL…AND A PHOTO SHOOT
“Prove you’ve got chops, or be sent packing”. They are sent to a meat packing plant next. J Manuel, in a fierce winter white coat, meets them and tells them that the shoot will involve modeling raw animal flesh. Most of the girls rock their innards-inspired bras and panties well, but Amis and Aimee stand out as stiffest. Lauren actually has the best shot, as she bent down since her height seemed to be a problem for the vertically challenged photographer.
JUDGING PANEL
On judgment day, Amy oversleeps and then pulls on sweats and a headband at the last minute. The other girls take the time to get all gussied up. Tyra is especially impressed with Whitney, Dominique and Anya’s presence at judging this week. Their photos are reviewed, and Anya and Lauren are called out for having the best photos, but Lauren’s runway “walk” did her in. Miss J said that if he’d been holding the meat hook in his hand that she used as a prop in the photo shoot, he would have knocked her ass off the runway. Therefore, Anya gets props as top model this week. Amis and Fatima are left to the bottom two. Fatima’s lack of chemistry with the camera and modeling from only the waist up or down is the problem with her. However, being cocky, disinterested and unprepared is what ultimately sends Amis home. Now, she will forever more be known again as….Amy.
