Fatima was actually shocked to be in the bottom two last week. She practices in the mirror to make sure she gets her game tight. Dominique reminds us, still in the third person, that she’s in it to win it and very confident. Marvita talks about having been through a lot and she is starting to doubt her place in the competition. Whitney offers Stacy-Ann a piece of banana bread, and Stacy-Ann responds, “Nope. I don’t want to be fat like you.” NO THANKS would have sufficed. Whitney says she doesn’t believe in the “F” word (fat) unless Stacy-Ann meant Phat, which Stacy-Ann assures her she did not. Stacy-Ann had better watch it. I keep talking about karma, and she is one chili-cheese fry away from curvy herself.
TYRA MAIL
“You all know your ABC’s, but what about the three C’s?” They annoyingly read the message in unison. They meet up with Benny Ninja and model Vendela for an impromptu lesson in the three C’s: Commercial, Catalog and Couture. Everyone watches as Benny demonstrates the difference, then they take turns showing their interpretations. Catalog is the happy go lucky pose. Commercial is the “look what I’m wearing” pose. Couture, well, it’s the DIVA of them all, complete with difficult bends and stretches to show off ridiculously overpriced clothes and shoes. It rarely focuses on the face. Lauren give it her best, but Benny says that his mama taught him not to say anything if he can’t say something nice. Marvita was all over the place. They loved Dominique. I’m thinking it was because Benny Ninja picked up on her masculine side. He loves a “queen.”
MORE HOUSE DRAMA
In a complete waste of airtime, Dominique accuses Whitney of being racist because she didn’t tell her she missed her phone time. Each girl is responsible for telling the person on the phone when it is her time, and 3rd person Dominique missed it, but wants to blame someone else because she didn’t get to talk to her child. Oh well. The argument is truly stupid, and I found myself siding with Whitney since Dominique basically twisted everything she said for more drama.
MORE TYRA MAIL…
“The battle is on. You’d better bring it to the center and work.” Okay, back to the hood in Brooklyn, where Benny Ninja, Vendela and a host of drag queens meet up to rate the girls as they have a pose-off. The teams are formed, with Marvita, Claire, Whitney, Katarazyna and Stacy-Ann squaring off against the rest of the ladies. Marvita disappoints, but Claire’s couture pose throws their team into the lead and they win a trip to a swag tent to fill up on free gifts. Also, Claire wins a trip to Bora Bora for the best pose. Whitney, the girl I just defended, actually hates on Claire for winning instead of her. I take my compliment back.
PHOTO SHOOT
Fatima is still practicing. Lauren and Marvita are drinking something that looks like beer and acting like homies. Fatima, all up in their business, can’t help but remark about how ghetto Marvita is. Marvita again questions her own abilities as a model, and admits she’s most comfortable in the ‘hood. Yet another Tyra Mail arrives, and the ladies are whisked away for a photo shoot that involves close-ups with paint. Marvita literally does nothing but look sad and pluck J. Manuel’s nerves. Lauren rocks it. Claire rocks it. Fatima APPEARS to rock it, but read on…
JUDGES TABLE
All of the ladies approach the panel for critiques of their photos. Lauren’s shoes are missing, and she wears tennis shoes. Tyra and Miss J tell her that one of the queens hanging around Benny Ninja probably took them. Fatima steps up, and her close-up shows….an unshaven armpit. Fatima says she doesn’t shave, and thought they would doctor the photos. The panel is annoyed. I am shocked. The other girls are disgusted. Fatima who talks about everyone else doesn’t shave her armpit hair. Nasty. Just nasty. After the photos are critiqued, Tyra admits she stole Lauren’s shoes because they were so fierce. Whitney and Marvita are left in the bottom two, and Marvita is sent home for lack of motivation. And Fatima is sent back to the apartment to SHAVE.
