American Idol Semifinals Kick Off During Sweeps Month

The search for the next AMERICAN IDOL is on! America gets closer to finding its next singing sensation during FOX's February Sweeps, with the Tuesday night performance shows, including the Hollywood semifinal round (Tuesday, Feb. 8, 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and the Hollywood final round (Tuesday, Feb. 15, 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). Next, the judges will make their selections, whittling down approximately 200 Hollywood hopefuls to 24 semifinalists – 12 female and 12 male. On Tuesdays, Feb. 22 and March 1 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), semifinalists perform and compete to become America's favorite vocalist.
